Turquoise Earrings

I've recently decided to try my hand at a bit of beading/jewellery design. I found a great business based in Hervey Bay for supplies and my first shipment arrived a couple of days ago, much to my excitment. Finally sat down yesterday to make my first pair of earrings. I haven't done anything like this since I did a few silversmithing classes back in 2002/3 so I was a bit rusty, but they were easy enough to make!


Voila! Turquoise Earrings, $12. Sterling silver earrings hooks, Thai Hill Tribe sterling silver beads with Turquoise chips!

I stole a day to do some non-uni creative work yesterday.
Was attempting to try an abstract, and after many changes it turned out to be more of a landscape, as usual. I just can't seem to be able to manage a completely abstract work! Anyway, here it is:

First 'Commission'

Finished my first 'commission' of sorts, a third in the 'Rainy Day' series from 2009.

Have already been given the nod of approval from the purchaser, will be getting them ready for hanging tonight! How exciting :)

Was good to get in and do a bit of painting, even if it was small - uni has been sucking my time in the past weeks! Can't wait to get in and do some more!
