Turquoise Earrings

I've recently decided to try my hand at a bit of beading/jewellery design. I found a great business based in Hervey Bay for supplies and my first shipment arrived a couple of days ago, much to my excitment. Finally sat down yesterday to make my first pair of earrings. I haven't done anything like this since I did a few silversmithing classes back in 2002/3 so I was a bit rusty, but they were easy enough to make!

Voila! Turquoise Earrings, $12. Sterling silver earrings hooks, Thai Hill Tribe sterling silver beads with Turquoise chips!

African Elephant Dreams

I stole a day to do some non-uni creative work yesterday.
Was attempting to try an abstract, and after many changes it turned out to be more of a landscape, as usual. I just can't seem to be able to manage a completely abstract work! Anyway, here it is:

First 'Commission'

Finished my first 'commission' of sorts, a third in the 'Rainy Day' series from 2009.

A cute little canvas piece, just a bit of fun:

Here it is with other two:

Have already been given the nod of approval from the purchaser, will be getting them ready for hanging tonight! How exciting :)

Was good to get in and do a bit of painting, even if it was small - uni has been sucking my time in the past weeks! Can't wait to get in and do some more!

Melbourne Laneway Photography

Only took a couple of shots on the dodgy camera, but I think they're nice anyway...

Northbank Photography

Had to take these photos for Uni, but I really like how some of them turned out so I thought I might as well post them here.

Even though it's one of the ugliest and least developed parts of the city, I found so many aspects that I found beautiful!

On top of the world!

Have just sold two paintings to the lovely (and very talented) Jules!

Rainy Day I & II are now soooold (see 2009 Gallery)! Plus I've been asked to work on a 3rd in the series!
Will begin work as soon as I get back from my weekend in Melbourne!

It is such a coincidence that after two days of blue skies and sunshine, it's a rainy day, today! :)

"Sell another painting" was actually on my list of goals, and now I can cross that off! Thankyou Jules!

PLUS: over 100 page views since posting this page on facebook yesterday! YEWW! :)
